I am a second year PHD student at Department of Computer Science, Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida. I did my undergraduate degree in Statistics (Honors) from the Department of Statistics, University of Kalyani and then I completed my Masters in Computer Application from West Bengal University of Technology. I am a hardware freak and a Linux enthusiast and feel that intellectual property like software should be free forever and support the Open Source movement. I am a die hard Arch Linux fan and encourage everyone to try Arch Linux at some point in their Linux career.

Previously I was a Java programmer at Cognizant Technology Solutions, Kolkata, India and Oracle Corporation working mainly with server side programming and object oriented design. I also worked as a research trainee at Indian Statistical Unit, Kolkata under the guidance of Prof.C.A.Murthy. I am mainly interested in theoretical computer science, computational geometry, optimization and applications to machine learning. I work with Dr. Piyush Kumar.

I work long hours and I am a workaholic and my brain cant tolerate idleness.
